- Our History

Our kennel was born with Italian Greyhounds. Belgian Griffons are a recent addition to our kennel. Both breeds are fantastic companion dogs. When younger, both types are very alert and playful, but also love to take long naps with their master. Dr. Alberto Lamperti fell in love with Italian Greyhounds about 20 years ago, when he acquired from renown Kennel Vertragus Giotto and Donatello, which, even though his inexperience, became International Italian Champions, Club champions, etc.  These two were amongst the first to obtain the coursing and racing license performing with outstanding results all over Europe.   Our first litter was from Idee Noir De Shirkhan (Evelyne Dyacquenod) and the English Champion Dayrilane Moodyblue (from Annette Oliver, but at the time a guest in Holland from the sorely missed Jennifer Giellisse from “Il Piccolo Azzurro” Kennel). Thanks to the collaboration of Aldo Cerletti (Vertragus), this in summary, is the begin of our kennel.  Alberto Lamperti has then tried to disseminate the love for this breed as Secretary, President and currently Vice President of the Italian Greyhound Club of Italy (Circolo del Piccolo Levriero Italiano).

As an International ENCI F.C.I. Judge  Dr. Lamperti has been invited to judge and give an address in various countries in Europe (Italy, Switzerland, Finland, Sweden, Chzec Republic, Netherland), Japan, Australia.

He was recently introduced to the world of the Belgian Griffon, thanks to Betty, his fiance, who in turn fell in love with Verdel, the Brussels Griffon in the Oscar Winning movie “As Good as it Gets”.  Alberto first bought a specimen for her as a gift, “Pem” (NIZHEGORODSKOE OCHAROVANIE PAM UNION GRIF) thanks to the collaboration of Liudmila Serova (Rus Elodser Kennel) and he too then fell in love with the breed, acquiring more specimens. Our Pem has obtained has won her first BOB in her debut.  Both her and “Honey”  ( DARISVET HERRAMORRETO DELDISCOLETTO) are continuing their career very successfully.

Italian Greyhounds and Belgian Griffons get along very well and it is a joy to see them play!
